Like all epic love stories, ours began with a great chase. Well, more like a one-sided marathon. Abhishek swiped right, Rachel swiped left—three times. But if there’s one thing Abhishek doesn’t believe in, it’s giving up (especially when it comes to food, naps, or Rachel). Eventually, curiosity won, and Rachel agreed to meet for one hour.

Six hours later, we had covered everything from childhood dreams to why Abhishek considered himself a self-proclaimed model (a title Rachel graciously bestowed upon him after enduring his bragging all night).

From that night on, life has been a perfect mix of chaos and balance. Rachel, the planner, the go-getter, the one who actually reads instructions, keeps things on track. Abhishek, the dreamer, the joker, the one who thinks he can fix things without instructions, keeps things interesting. We’ve navigated long-distance, new jobs, homeownership, and the truly existential crisis of picking a Netflix show neither of us has watched.

But if there’s one place that truly shaped our story, it’s Goa. It was here, during a friend’s wedding, that Abhishek realized Rachel wasn’t just his girlfriend—she was his life partner. This was the moment he found the courage to talk to his parents and break free from the idea of an arranged marriage. And it was here, in this very same place, that Rachel decided to give Abhishek another chance, to see where this crazy, wonderful journey could go.

So it only makes sense that Goa is where we say I do. The place where it all began, where we chose each other before we even knew it, and where we now invite you to celebrate with us—because some love stories deserve a full-circle moment (and a really great beach party).
